✏️ Back‑to‑School Savings: Florida’s Month‑Long Tax‑Free Holiday Is Here!

Parents, teachers, and students—good news! Florida’s annual Back‑to‑School Sales Tax Holiday is bigger and better this year. Florida has new legislation, expanding the usual short holiday into a full month of savings, running August 1 through August 31, 2025. 

That means you have plenty of time to plan your shopping and save money on essentials for the school year. Here’s what qualifies:

• ​Clothing, shoes, and bags priced at $100 or less per item (including backpacks, diaper bags, fanny packs, and wallets).
• School supplies priced at $50 or less per item.
• Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles priced at $30 or less.
• Personal computers and accessories for home or personal use priced at $1,500 or less. ​

A few things are not included: items like watches, jewelry, and briefcases; supplies or clothing above the price limits; and anything purchased for commercial use. 

This change is part of Florida’s new tax law, which aims to help families save on everyday essentials. With an entire month to shop, you can take your time finding the best deals and stretching your back‑to‑school budget further than ever before.

Once you’ve stocked up on supplies, here are a few simple ways to make the season stress‑free:
